Question... You answer...

I'm trying to expand my mind and came across an interesting question that I still can't seem to figure out. I try to think outside of the box so when I watch TV I usually now only watch channel's and programs that help me to think about thing's I haven't thought about before... So I was watching the Science channel (Like I do every night before I go to sleep) and the show I was watching was about space and scientific theory's. The "String Theory," suggests that spacetime has 11 different dimension's... Us as human's only can see 3 dimensions... So The question is....

If spacetime has 11 dimension's, and we can only see 3... How could you envision 11 dimension's? What would it be like to you... How does that look... and How is it different from here?

Hmm.....interesting...I honestly have no idea, but I might have to get back to you on that...so much for taking a critical thinking class

uh... yea... brain pain lol, I'l get back to ya. Hey I was wondering if I could post your song Titanium on imeem, I didn't want to just post it and you get mad lol. get back to me

omygosh Marcel ur such a nerd i am 2 just not in2 science but i dnt buy that i think scientist just make stuff up 2 keep ppl interested lol how do they now there are 11 dimensions u cant c them do they feel it hear it wat but u do got me thinkin now lyke how do they no or is it jus bull canu answer that hmmmmm

aye bro when i think about something being 11 dim. mann i think that would prob give u a headache jus looking at it if u could see it. because our eyes would be trying so hard to focus on every spectrum of light that is given off. and in a 11 dim that would be impossible prob..lol im not a genius or anything that jus how i look at it..

I think that they just make up whatever they want and tell us that it's truee lol
because that doesn't make sense how do they know that there is 11 demensions when we can only see 3 how do we even know if the other 8 exist? but i really don't know that's just what i think lol

wow....you made me wanna go find out more about this lol and i did a lil bit
ok well...i think that its really interesting like it has me thinking...but its hard cuz im trying to think but i have nothing to think from...u know?
i think of it like its a theory, the "string theory"...and a theory is a belief...like something that can still be tested and hasnt been proven yet right?
...so, like Jasmine was saying, how do we know whether this theory is really the truth or not ..we dont realy i guess, but we just have to imagine whta we can from what we know..
...lol so what im trying to say is i guess all we can do is imagine..or envision, like you had said, wat it is and how it would be like and how different it would be...
its hard to actually say what it could be tho....cuz we dont have ANY view of what those other 11 dimensions are even like...so we have nothing in our mind to go off on...to compare ....

Its another mystery in this world that we might never know the truth of lol...thats my thought atleast.

i was watching this program too, but i fell asleep.
i think that if we could see eleven demensions, it wouold look more like a 3D movie when you take off the glasses and you see all the shapes and colors, but maybe it would be alot more clearer.
how do the scientist know about these other 8 demnsion or i should say how did they come about this theory. even if we arent able to see them should we be able to feel them and are they saying that everything had eleven demensions, it's a very strange and complicated theory to me. i also heard that cats can see six demnsions. i just wonder how do we come up with these ideas.
man this is complicated. lol, i think i liked it better when national geographic had their theory on how the increase in jellyfish population could be a signal that the world is coming to the end.

well i get what ur saying and im not one for words. I cant explain myself to save my life however, i researched and did some reading and i came up with these things to help you think bout it further on. It kinda helped me. Personally i try not to think of such things and be simplistic with life and take everyday as it comes. But anyway....These are small summaries of ideas i agree upon

1) Extra Dimensions and Warped Geometries
Lisa Randall

The field of extra dimensions, as well as the hypothesized sizes of extra dimensions, have grown by leaps and bounds over the past few years. I summarize the new results and the reasons for the recent activity in this field. These include the observations that extra dimensions can be macroscopic or even infinite in size. Another new development is the application of extra dimensions to the determination of particle physics parameters and properties.

2)Measuring Spacetime: From the Big Bang to Black Holes
Max Tegmark

Space is not a boring static stage on which events unfold over time, but a dynamic entity with curvature, fluctuations, and a rich life of its own. Spectacular measurements of the cosmic microwave background, gravitational lensing, type Ia supernovae, large-scale structure, spectra of the Lyman forest, stellar dynamics, and x-ray binaries are probing the properties of spacetime over 22 orders of magnitude in scale. Current measurements are consistent with an infinite flat everlasting universe containing about 30% cold dark matter, 65% dark energy, and at least two distinct populations of black holes.

i gave the emails so you can email them and they can further explain it to you. Its an interesting concept really. Knowing that there can be 11 dimensions from the known 3 we have now. It gives a broader outlook.

oh and if this helps: http://www.tenthdimension.com/flash2.php

this man made a book on it however it only talks about the prospect of 10 dimensions not 11. But the video makes great visual, and helps picture the concept better =]

hopefully you can read all of that lol =]i enjoy your blogs btw nice to kno that you have interesting and intellectual questions (rather than the typical who came first the chicken or the egg) lol

uhmmmm..I honestly have no clue, but it did maKE ME THINK EXTREMELY HARD!!lOL..I will get back to on that though because i actually brought that up in a conversation in my class and no one had a clue what i was talking bout..haha

lol, you now make me extremely proud that I watch the History channel. I'm an an egyptology junkie and I often watch programs on religion and I recently just viewed on one on the meaning behind the cross/ cruxificion. As far you question, I shall google it and get back to you. =)

I'm thinking everything would be like prisms, extra colors and corners, and sides. Like a crystal. Since there are more dimensions involved, that would give you more opportunities to see the subject in multiple points of view, using more colors. Agh, this stuff is making think too much haha. Elaborate on this if you wanna. That's what science is for.
